Temperance 

      Before America became independence, people had already realized that drink too much win is bad to people. But they didn’t notice too much about this problem. They don’t have any organized motive. As time goes on, this problem started to be more popular.

      Benjamin Rush is a guy who was born in Philadelphia. He published a pamphlet. It talked about the bad thing about drink too much wine from medical view. It made people start to be interested in this problem. Although, he tried to let the country notice this problem, but his influence was not big enough.        Temperance became a motive in the early of 19 centuries. American met a lot of troubles. A lot of American, especially the people who had a strong faith in their religion started to realize that their country not only care them, but also all the people. And they also know they have a lot of factors to make their country stronger. So they stared their first motive about Temperance.

      In 1812, they set up Massachusetts Society for Suppression of Intemperance by the help of church. In 1826, they also set up American Temperance Society. At last, they set up Washington Society. This organization influenced most people. More and more people started to control drinking wine. It also influence a lot of women.

      This motive made people started to find another drink instead wine. So Coke became more and more popular.
